So, it turns out a Myspace page is not really cutting it any more. This dark, atmospheric environment is a genuinely original approach to what a band website can be.

The Eco Zoo has been doing the rounds on Flash showcase sites for a few years. In 2009 won a FWA Site of the Year award. It’s lovely 3D transitions, which replicate traditional pop up books, are still impressive today. Anyone know what 3D engine was used?

This little game has a lot of charm, invention and many impressive, physics based, puzzles. Definitely worthy of the Aardman name.

Lovely hand crafted site, painstakingly made using paper, scissors, paint and a lot of creativity. The site also exhibits some rather impressive dynamic features:

..the most exciting technical aspects of the site, a background that turns into night once the sun sets (Los Angeles time) and a simple weather system that mimics the Los Angeles weather forecast.

Genuinely incredible fullscreen Flash ad. That’s a sentence I never thought I would type, but Viemo and Tostitos have proven me horribly wrong. If you have not seen it, the Honda insight video, is also worth your attention.

The FWA have been showcasing the very best Flash sites since way back in May 2000. Today they have updated their site with a complete overhaul by Group94. Impressive stuff indeed.

I think this might just be my favourite Flash Site of 2009. The grid layout is beautifully executed with a great attention to detail, clearly crafted by an expertly restrained hand. Oh and the work is pretty damn good too.
