The eagle eyed among you will notice that this months free font is not technically free, but at $9, you would have to be a Scrooge not to think its a great deal. Good quality seasonal fonts can be very hard to find, so Ebenezer is something of a rarity.

Type designer Hannes von Döhren has the lofty aim of banishing the wilfully misused Comic Sans in order to “make the world a little bit better”. Regardless of your stance on the total elimination of Microsoft’s much derided typeface, HVD provide a perfect font for comic strips, Flash games and pretty much anything that needs a bit of fun injected into it.

Its a super chunky, high impact font that would look great on any type driven design. The only slight weakness is the over embellished “K”, but the “Q” and “R” more than make up for this. Grab a copy before he has a change of heart.
